    Summary:
Wai is the Hawaiian word for water. Waiwai is the Hawaiian word for wealth. In old Hawaiʻi, an abundance of water constituted true wealth, a wealth that was reflected in the many place names of Hawaiʻi containing the word wai. Hosted by Eddie Kaʻanana, this video contrasts the Hawaiian way of using and conserving water with today's practices.
