    Summary:
Looks at Mākua, the refuge for Hawaiians, and it begins with Robi Kahakalau singing "Mākua." It is a community living off the land, and several people discuss their reasons for coming to Mākua, the threat of eviction, the history of the place, survival and agriculture, the healing properties of the land, and the Hawaiian culture. The program concludes with video clips of demonstrators fighting to stop the evictions of Native Hawaiians from this beach on the Waiʻanae coast of Oʻahu.
