Summary:
Ridley Jones, a magazine writer is informed by the FBI that her late uncle, Max Smiley (who's really her biological father), is still alive. Max was the head of Project Rescue Organization which saved at risk kids from abusive parents. Ridley's adoptive parents are also involved with Project Rescue. The FBI believe that Max is involved in the disappearance New York Times journalist, Myra Lyall and possibly at the center of a sex slave trade.
