I wish ... is an episodic glimpse into the life of an unhappy girl and the wizard who torments her. When Jin Ryu?s family leaves her home and heads off for a vacation in Hawaii, her bitterness at being left behind wells up and she wishes that their plane would crash. It does. She's then consumed with guilt, thinking that she's the cause of the tragedy. Seeking out K, a wizard with the power to grant wishes - for a price - she asks for him to bring her parents and her brother back to life. K refuses, and when Jin Ryu has a temper tantrum, calling him a quack magician, K takes offense. Threatening to kill her if she doesn't come up with another wish, he instead proposes that she work for him, without pay, until she can think of a wish that he can grant.
