Summary:
A waitress in Austin, Texas, falls for the gangly, self-satisfied charms of a Danish tourist who became famous as a child star in his homeland and has the complacent air of someone whose best days are behind him and knows it. Their sweaty, passionate fling seems perfect for both of them until an unexpected event sends Diaz off to Denmark. Now it's the waitress who is the fish out of water struggling to survive in a cross-cultural mash-up that's both funny, confusing and surprisingly moving. This movie is described as a "broken romantic comedy" by the director who wanted to make "a romance that's honest and funny about the pain and mixed feelings and unpleasant surprises that go with the territory."--Publisher info.
